This Product Warranty Policy forms an integral part of the Airturb General Terms and Conditions.
Airturb B.V. (“Airturb”) provides a limited product warranty of twenty-four (24) months from the date of delivery of the Product Ex Works (EXW) Rotterdam.
The warranty applies exclusively to manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal operating conditions.
The warranty applies only to:
• the original purchaser
• an authorized distributor
• an approved project owner where the product has been registered.
The warranty shall only be valid if:
• the product is registered with Airturb within 30 days after installation
• the product serial number is recorded
• installation details are submitted
• installation photos are provided.
Failure to register the product may result in loss of warranty rights.
This follows the structure already present in your partner portal warranty document.
During the warranty period Airturb may, at its sole discretion:
• repair defective components
• replace defective components
• provide replacement parts
• provide refurbished replacement components
• provide technical repair instructions to installers.
Replacement parts may be new or refurbished and must provide equivalent functional performance.
Repair or replacement does not extend the original warranty period, which is consistent with the previous policy.
Airturb turbines are designed to operate under defined environmental limits.
Unless otherwise stated in official product specifications:
Maximum operational limits include:
• maximum operating wind conditions: Beaufort scale 7 (approx. 13–17 m/s wind speeds)
• installation height according to manufacturer guidelines
• ambient operating temperature: -10°C to +40°C
• non-corrosive environments unless otherwise specified.
Use of the product beyond the specified operating limits may void the warranty.
Your earlier documents already included a wind limit reference which we maintain here.
The warranty applies only when the product:
• is installed by a qualified installer
• follows Airturb installation manuals
• complies with structural and electrical regulations
• has not been relocated after installation without approval.
Incorrect installation voids the warranty.
This reflects the certified installer requirement previously described.
Airturb does not provide installation services unless explicitly agreed in writing.
Installers are responsible for:
• structural calculations
• mounting systems
• roof integrity
• electrical safety
• local permits.
Airturb turbines generate energy based on wind resources, which are inherently variable.
Energy production depends on:
• wind availability
• turbulence
• surrounding buildings
• installation height
• terrain conditions
• electrical system integration.
Airturb therefore does not guarantee specific energy production levels.
Any:
• performance estimates
• simulations
• yield calculations
• wind studies
are indicative only.
Airturb may offer Wind Resource Assessments (WRA) as a separate paid service.
These assessments:
• are advisory in nature
• use modeled or estimated wind data
• cannot guarantee energy production or project economics.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
• accidents or misuse
• improper installation
• incorrect electrical connection
• electrical surges or grid faults
• lightning strikes
• floods, storms or natural disasters
• vandalism or theft
• corrosion due to environmental conditions
• use outside operating limits
• structural failure of mounting surfaces
• improper transport or storage.
These exclusions are consistent with the exclusions already described in earlier warranty versions.
Airturb turbines may be connected to:
• inverters
• charge controllers
• battery systems
• energy management systems.
Airturb shall not be liable for damage caused by:
• incompatible electrical components
• incorrect wiring
• improper grid integration
• incorrect inverter configuration.
Airturb products may include software components such as:
• monitoring platforms
• firmware
• energy management software.
Software is provided “as is”.
Airturb does not guarantee:
• uninterrupted operation
• continuous connectivity
• compatibility with all external systems.
Airturb reserves the right to update or modify software.
The warranty becomes void if:
• the serial number has been removed
• the serial number has been modified
• the product identification label has been damaged.
This clause existed in the earlier warranty documents and is maintained.
Warranty claims must be submitted in writing and include:
• product serial number
• installation date
• installation location
• description of defect
• supporting photos.
Airturb may request the defective component to be returned for inspection.
Airturb shall not be liable for:
• loss of revenue
• loss of profit
• loss of energy production
• loss of project financing
• business interruption
• installation costs
• removal costs.
Airturb’s total liability shall never exceed the purchase price of the product concerned.
This reflects the “no consequential damages” principle already present in the earlier warranty documents.
Airturb continuously improves its products and reserves the right to:
• modify product design
• update components
• change specifications
without obligation to retrofit previously delivered products.
This warranty policy is governed by Dutch law.
All disputes shall be submitted exclusively to the competent court of Rotterdam.
